YOUR ONE STOP SHOP FOR ALL THINGS HAUNTED THIS IS A website dedicated to the compilation & consolidation of all that I have learned of ghosts & hauntings since I first started seriously engaging in ghost hunting in 2006. A labor of love which seeks to inform the up & coming of this community.WHO ARE YOU? J.M. SMITH. I was named after a dead relative when I was born & changed it to the name of another dead relative later on. Just call me Smith. I work the night shift cleaning office buildings and draw sometimes. Can make a mean beer butt chicken. Moved up to Fuckoff Nowhere, Arizona recently. Not as many office buildings to clean here. Not as much of a dick in person as text makes me sound, I promise.GHOST HUNTING? WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL? A LOT OF driving to local hotspots, a lot of talking to people who've been there & people living around them. Some folk bring around all sorts of tech to try & bait out hauntings, while I prefer to meet folk in the middle. No tricks, no one thousand dollar gadgets, just honest conversation. Self-made spirit boxes and thrift store cassette players can work as good as any top dollar TV show if you give ghosts a reason (A LISTENING EAR) to talk. Background chatter is just as good as full conversations if you can make out what they're saying to each other.A BUNCH OF web-surfing when you're looking for the younger ones. Safe auction bidding from verified sellers if you're looking for controlled, rooted hauntings (DON'T BE STUPID. DON'T BUY FROM ANTIQUE SHOPS UNLESS YOU'RE LOOKING TO GET SCAMMED OR FUCKED WITH MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE). Establishing a dialogue with the ones that want to talk, making tracks from the ones that don't. More arguing over the internet than you'd think. WHAT IS ON THIS WEBSITE? A COMPENDIUM OF that which I have learned, put together in a format more approachable to beginners than the typical forum which knows what it is talking about and more credible than the shitshow most folk take as fact. Anecdotes, a good list of starter equipment, a glossary of common terms and phrases you can expect to see once you move on from here and deeper into your research (HOPEFULLY!). Intermittent blog posts if they are relevant to the subject matter. Recommendations for trusted sellers, pointers on other hunters to keep an eye on.
